United have long been linked with the Barcelona star and his father confirmed in February there had been a £145million offer made last year.
"Manchester United is the side that offered €190m [£145m] for Neymar,' he told radio station COPE.
"He has still two years left on his contract but you can all be calm as my son is so happy here [Barcelona]."

Since then, the 24-year-old has been locked in talks with the Catalan club over a new five-year deal.
Reports says the contract on offer will include a huge wage hike and will increase his release clause to £170m.
However, according to Brazilian publication Globo Esporte , Neymar still has other offers on the table and may not sign Barca's new deal.
The report says he will meet with the Barcelona board next week for crunch talks following the Copa Del Rey final with Sevilla.
And while his preferred decision is to stay at the Nou Camp, it is said if all his demands are not met he will turn to existing offers from other clubs.
United, Paris Saint-Germain and rivals Real Madrid are reportedly the three clubs who have approached the striker and whose offers he has been 'analysing'.
